"We've heard lots of budding musicians, but this lovely artist stood heads above.
We fully expect this young lady to make a big name for herself
in the Christian music industry."

A Maple Grove teen may have just experienced hers."

New Movie “Season of Miracles” Includes Music by Erin Jamieson
Film celebrates the impact disability can have on a family and community

A 2013 graduate of Maple Grove Senior High School has already found some success in the movie business. Singer-songwriter Erin Jamieson has a song featured in the newly released movie “SEASON OF MIRACLES” based on Rusty Whitener’s award winning novel. The film stars John Schneider (The Dukes of Hazard, October Baby), Grayson Russell (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Talladega Nights), Andrew Wilson Williams and Nancy Stafford (Matlock).

SEASON OF MIRACLES is an inspiring family movie with timeless lessons about sportsmanship, friendship and courage in the face of adversity. The story also addresses the issue of bullying today as the kids on the Robins’ baseball team invite a boy with autism to join their team then learn enduring life lessons as a result. This makes a great choice for family movie night or church youth groups.

"SEASON OF MIRACLES is an amazing coming-of-age story about a young 12-year-old boy who realizes that sometimes there are more important things in life than winning or losing," said Dave Moody, producer and director.

The film screened in select theaters this summer and became available October 1, 2013 on DVD, Blu-ray and Combo Pack at retailers.

“Going to the Gideon Media Arts & Film Festival opened many doors for me, but this one was especially dear to my heart,” Erin Jamieson explained. “Growing up with a sister who has special needs, I have seen first-hand the transformational effects she (and others with special needs) can have on a family and community. I feel so blessed to be a part of the team helping to tell this story that will bring hope to people and glory to God.” Jamieson is currently a student at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee majoring in Songwriting.

SEASON OF MIRACLES has a public showing coming up at 7:00 pm Friday, October 25th in the theater at Plymouth Covenant Church. The event is FREE and hosted by Maple Grove-based Walk Right In Ministries. Concessions will be served and a free will offering taken. Doors open at 6:30 pm and seating is limited.

Jamieson’s debut EP “Without the Dark” as well as the soundtrack inspired by the motion picture are both available at iTunes.
